Welcome to our Fashion Doll Forum

This is the place for members to say hello, socialise and participate in general Fashion Doll chatter. In order to interact with other members about more specific dolls, such as Barbie, Superdoll or Fashion Royalty, as well as other doll related topics, be sure to check out our Fashion Doll Groups page!

For the last two years we've had a lot of fun at an imaginary picnic. I propose another imaginary picnic, with all the members of Doll Observers and and one doll to represent each. Last year our imaginary destination was the Pool of Neptune in William Randolph Hearst's "Castle".  This year, in honor of our theme of the month, I invite you all to the city of Gras in France, famous for its production of flowers for distillation in perfumes. All you have to do is introduce yourself and your doll of choice, and either post a picture of your doll or a description. You are all invited to bring an imaginary dish so that there is plenty of imaginary food to go round!

    Thanks Lilly,

yeah from july 92 till july 94 coming from canada it was not a shock but a total "blast" hee hee everything was so different organisation, food and weather, (and pollution of course  )

after all this time we are still found of this country and it bigger than life generous peoples. we learned to appreciate the spicy food there , and are still today looking for "chilis" ( none here in Spain where the food is way mild)

we went back in several occasion as we worked in chihuahuan desert (archaeology), and each time it a new adventure, but seeing our friends is always such a gift

so you lived in the DF and you drank tequila, ha? How long ago was that?

I can't wait to see the rest of the attendants after three shots of tequila. We will all start speaking French, hahaha!!!

    Oh my doll  Isabel!!

I have discovered Tequila when living in el DF (with moderation of course) and geeees this is going to be a ....hot party with so much tequila to share  if we are lucky it will be sunny and hot (certainly not as much as Veracruz )

I absolutely love you dreaming lady, amazed by the lavender fields around Grasse. such a beautiful pic

Hi everybody, my name is Isabel and I'm from México. I was born in México city (with an amazing 24 million inhabitants) but 15 years ago I moved to a smaller coastal city in the state of Veracruz. It's a wonderful place, but it's veeeeeeeery hot. Sewing for my dolls is one of my favorite things to do as well as working with miniatures. I just knew about Fashion Royalty dolls about a year ago and now they've become my passion. This time I'm sending my beautiful Erin on her new dress and for the picnic. She's delighted with the colorful flower fields and has already bought a couple of very expensive bottles of perfume. Everybody is bringing food and desserts so I thought about something to raise the party spirit... I small bottle of the famous Mexican Tequila. Erin had some problems at customs but they finally let her through when the officers knew the tequila was for the members of the famous Doll Observers celebrating their annual picnic. Yeah!!!
