Fashion Doll Forum

We're committed to providing the HAUTE Doll YOU want to see!

Our first was to upgrade the magazine's paper weight with the February issue.
Next, our intention is to dramatically increase the page-count and revamp the header to bring the word "HAUTE" back to center stage...

We would love to hear any other thoughts you may have in regard to what you would like to see from (and in) the HAUTE DOLL brand!

The next issue to come out is in May and we hope you will be happy as you begin to see and experience our efforts to serve the cutting-edge Fashion and Ball-Jointed doll industry(s)!

Thank you so much for your time and insight.

  • I should also mention, I'd love to learn more about Azone Pure Neemos... I collect them avidly, have a blog about them, and just love them... but I never hear anything about the company, the folks who work there, or anything fun like that... like their clothing production team or anything!!

  • I have send you an emal to: amym@jonespublishing.com

  • Hello Amy, I sent you and email. Let me know if you get it.

     Thanks,

  • Well, your magazine is amazing when you need help on deciding which doll to buy since your photos are really sharp and artistic. I've found a little information on Fashion Doll Quarterly Magazine, but as I expressed before, as someone relatively new in this you have the feeling you've missed the basics in order to follow the whole idea. Some blogs like tshugashug.com and fashiondollchronicles.blogspot.mx have been very helpful, too. But Overall, I've got the most helpful information from people I've met on DOLLOBSERVERS.COM. There's always someone ready to help you or teach you. Thanks for your interest.

  • Thank you Isabel

That is excellent feedback!  Your right, as in life, we do need to remember to see things from a beginners mind.  DOLLS Magazine SHOULD abslolutely be a resource to that end!

May I ask, where have you been finding the most useful information, other than trial and error?!

    Thanks!

    Hello Amy,

I'm a Mexican Barbie and Fashion Royalty dolls collector. As a matter of fact I got my first Fashion Royalty about two years ago, because, sadly, words like Jason Wu, Integrity Toys or Color Infusion are barely known in my country. 90% of my dolls have been bought on internet and believe me, I've learnt many things the hard way. Finding out the dress you bought fits 16" dolls only when you assumed they were all 12" tall, or that the new Color Infusion dolls you bought have huge feet and will have to pose barefoot for a while, or that, no matter how much you try, matching the head and the body's skin tone seems almost impossible and you end up with a box of bodyless heads and headless bodies. When I read doll magazines I feel like they're just aimed to expert doll collectors and sometimes you forget about us the newbies who would appreciate size charts, skin color charts, wig sizes, etc.

I think it's really nice of you to be interested in our opinions and doubts. Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Amy, thanks for your reply.

    Collector Profiles? Yes! Sounds interesting.

I would love to have my 15 seconds (ir is it minutes?) of fame!!

    LOL

    AWESOME suggestion Nilsa!

Keep an eye out for that!

Additionally, we would like to begin including Collector Profiles in the magazine.  Would this be something you might be open to?

I'm a Silkstone collector and of course I will love to see articles featuring silkstone dolls.

I also love Poppy Parker so keep featuring her :)

A diorama section will be awesome with tips, tricks, hints, tutorial, whatever for the fashion doll diorama fans.

Thanks for asking for input. As a reader/subscriber it means a lot to me.
