D.O. Newbie!
Hello! I'm Barbra, and live in Washington state in a little town across the Puget Sound from Seattle. I've collected dolls since the mid-eighties, when my daughter's love of Hasbro's JEM dolls sparked my interest in fashion dolls! Today, my collection ranges from modern & vintage Barbie, Fashion Royalty, Gene, Tonner, JEM, Darci, Tiffany Taylor, Tuesday Taylor, Magic Hair Crissy, Elle, Girl Force, Leggy dolls, Integrity Janay & friends, Cy Girls, Harmony, and Celebrity dolls of all sorts. I'm looking forward to sharing my love of dolls with the D.O. community! :o)

Cathy and Simon, thanks so much for welcoming me! A great pleasure in doll collecting is sharing one's collection with others, and I just don't do enough of it! Once I figure out navigating this site, and what's required to post pictures, I'll give it a whirl! Thanks again, Barbra :o)

HI to another Barbra! I'm Barbara in NYC. Your daughter and I probably liked the same dolls as kids, because I had a couple of Jem dolls too. I also collect FR dolls. Are you a member of the W club? (Is this the part where you cyber smack me and tell me we have met many times?)

Hi Barbara in NYC! So...besides JEM, did you love Strawberry Shortcake, Sea Wees, Princess of Power, HuggaBunch, Rainbow Brite, & Cabbage Patch dolls? Those are the dolls my daughter played with...along with My Little Ponies! She always took good care of her toys, and they're now either part of my collection (lol) or packed away in my attic for her to give to her own daughter when she's alittle older (she just turned 2).
No, I'm not a member of the W club...so no cyber-smacking needed! :o) I've been tempted to join many times, but have managed to resist. However, I definitely want to attend an FR Convention at least once...it's on my bucket list!

Not only did I play with Strawberry Shortcake, my first "Big Girl bed" was a canopy bed with Strawberry Shortcake bedding. :-D I played with She-Ra too, and the Cabbage Patch kids, but not Rainbow Bright, and I have no idea who the SeaWees and Huggabunches are. :-D
You should join the W club, it's a great deal.
