hahaha! Same one that I have, Andy! I've considered buying Foxy Lady (with the yellow full-length fur coat) but because she's such a rarity, the $140 price tag has scared me off more than once.

Hey, Lisa...are you a member of Doll Divas as well?
GIRL! You SCORED this Christmas!! I raised the bar a little too high for my fam this year...everybody blanches at the prices of Avantguards and Sybarites, so I end up buying for myself. Ah, well...nobody knows what I want for xmas as well as I do.

Sure did!! Hubby got me a new camera, rebel eos by canon! For Barbie's I got all the 2012 hallmark ornaments!!! From my daughter I got DOTW India, Barbie for president (blonde), and a blonde fashionista. From hubby I got Gala gown silky and fusia fun France, from my son I got monster high Jinnah fire long. From a Christmas contest on a Barbie forum I belong to I won a beautiful ooak pink haired silky, a ooak ginger bread apron. From my dear friend Joanne I got outfits ooaks from designers and a beautiful basic dressed in a ooak gown. Before the holiday I went to a local doll shop and the owner is selling his Barbie collection I bought many Barbie's from him at very low prices. Including nrfb Elizabeth Taylor doll, an AA holiday Barbie in the bow dress, millennium Barbie with ornament, and a few others I will post upcoming. I had a very Barbie Christmas....I'm very lucky and very fortunate to have so many gifts my family....they inspire my doll collecting and treat me so affectionately and lovingly with their Barbie inspired gifts....I hope everyone had a wonderful wonderful holiday...I'm very blessed. Iam very happy to be here. Happy New Year!
Permalink Reply by andy sorensen on December 28, 2012 at 5:34 i know right? i try to keep a pretty strict budget when it comes to doll purchases, my hobby started with collecting stuff specifically for my favorite doll morgan (and let me tell you, that betch has shoes, clothes and gowns like none other...in addition to her 2 or 3 homes, cars, and vintage carrying cases). but i'm trying to branch out and get some collectible dolls also......why limit oneself? lol!

Lisa, Andy and Deb-- sounds like you all got some nice dolly gifts. Simon, sorry Santa was late with your Jem, you know how the holiday traffic is!
I didn't actually have any dolls on my wish list this year because I'm at that sad point where the cabinets are quite full and I either have to thin down the collection or get another new cabinet! However, being a collector, I couldn't resist picking up a few bargains, so on Christmas morning I did have 3 new dollies that I chose myself from a booth at our local annual Red Cross Fair the week before. They are all clone dolls-- 2 Barbie clones and a Jenny clone (my first), but they have nice eyes and hair and came in cheap but nice OOAK gowns. I should photograph them.
