I'm not sure if I understand your method completely, do you think I could find pictures of what you just described somewhere..?

you can fin some good tips in this site. I learn how to sew some years ago but still struggle some time to time. I made lot of garment by hand, and even today sewing by hand for tiny dresses (or part of it) seems easier than with the machine.
Permalink Reply by xGlamFairyx on November 21, 2011 at 19:54 My childhood Malibu Barbie was spirited away in a yard sale long ago, but it was ok because she'd been through some alterations. I'd popped off her head several times, first just to see if it could be removed, then a few more times to alarm my younger siblings. I cut her hair, applied my mom's bright coral lipstick and touched up her eyes with a blue ink pen. Come to think of it, who'd pay for something like that? Maybe she was really just tossed out, and nobody wanted to break it to me.
