Social Networking for Fashion Doll Lovers
Hello everyone. Kind of excited that I came across this social network. It seems very fun. New to collecting, but have had dolls all my life, Barbie, Tammy, Chrissy (who I loved!) and boy, don't I wish I still had all my dolls. I have a cloth doll from my childhood with button on limbs, but no other ones. But anyways. I have sewed all my life and am now trying my hand at making those tiny tiny outfits for some Barbie dolls that I have bought and loving it. So looking forward to doing some activities on the site and seeing other doll collectors collections.
Thanks 4 the friendship
I'm glad to be accepted in this community.

YAY!! Another Seamstress-Sistah!
Welcome, yes, I found this hobby about 1 year or so ago and love it. I had played w/Barbie, Skipper, Francie, and Ken mostly. I am working on making a vintage gown. We will see, I have a vintage sewing machine from 1961 which I like better than my new one.
Hi Babs A! Welcome.
I grew up with some of the same dolls - TNT Barbie, Casey, Christie, Mod Look Ken, G.I. Joe, Growin' Hair Chrissy and Kerry and Mia, etc. Still have a few of my childhood dolls.
I used to sew clothes for my dolls, but I have not done that recently. Tell myself that once I've reduced some extras, I will have time and space to create.
Do you create your own patterns, sew free hand, or use manufacturer's patterns? Do you prefer a specific doll body? Like TNT Barbie, Model Muse, Bellybutton or articulated?
Wish you much joy in this hobby!
Hi Babs! I'm from Philly (PA), and I've been collecting all my life, too.
I maintain a blog where I post photos of my dolls and dolls I see.
Do you have photos of your new dolls? I'd like to see what you have and like.
