Hello to everyone! from Argentina

Hi to all!
my name is Lalys and I`m a Barbie collector from Argentina.
I run a forum in Spanish, and my personal aim is to encourage latin american collectors to be in contact and to make a nice community, since we have little information, and many things in common.
Our Forum has people from different parts of the globe too, I`m very happy.

I`m focusing on argentinian dolls, but I love all kind of dolls, not only Barbie.  I`m a faerie collector too, I have some figurines and books about faeries :)

Ooh, I love faeries, too! I collect faery art books, have you seen anything by Brian or Wendy Froud? They worked with Jim Henson on two of my favorite movies, Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. Your forum sounds really interesting, I have wanted to learn spanish for a long time because of my hometown's growing Latin-American community (and the hotness of latino men!) but I cannot afford the computer program to learn, and I am too busy to attend classes. I'll chck out your site anyway, and enjoy the pics. Nice to meet you, and welcome to Doll Observers

I love Froud couple`s work! Brian has lot of great books and Wendy is devoted to dolls and puppets... DIVINE!!! I have only one book, Faeries from froud and Alan Lee, but I have collected many differents when couldn`t find. Im my country is not common to find faerie things, but thos last 5 years it seems that is in vogue, so there`s more avaiable. Unfortunately, the boom did not prepared the ground for quality things, many faeries figurines made poorly :( but I`m always looking for nice things.

Regarding our forum, if you wish to be part, you`re more than welcome. We sometimes, try to write in both Spanish and English when having people interested in some discussions. Ada is there, she can tell you ;) I know is not easy to read a language that is not your own, but I think everyone that shares the same love to dolls can make her/himself understand :)

Google translator works really good. I love the Barbie Mania forum. So many great ppl and fresh news so go and join even if you don't know Spanish that well. ;)
