I say "primarily" because I am planning on getting my first Fashion Royalty (Integrity) doll very soon.  I'm also sorely tempted to get Moxie Teenz (MGA). Haha I'm sure you all understand the urge to get a lovely doll no matter who the manufacturer is.

Anyway, I just joined Doll Observers this week.  What a vibrant community of doll lovers! I'm very excited!

So I'm a Barbie collector...and fairly new at it--I started collecting last year.  My first doll was Barbie Basics Model No.16 Collection 002 (a.k.a. Harley Ken).  Since then, I have amassed close to a hundred Barbie collector dolls.  My collection primarily consists of the model muse collector dolls (Barbie Basics and the more recent releases), but I have begun to collect BFMC Silkstone dolls as well.

You can find me on BarbieCollector.com as "iamken85".  I am a bit active in their photo forum because I love to photograph my dolls.  Having a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, I actually edit the Barbie images and place them in various real world settings.  You can check out my photo blog on Tumblr: Life in Plastic by Barbie Guy.

The blog is just starting to pick up a following on Tumblr, but I also have a Facebook page, which has received many "likes".  You can also follow me on twitter: @BarbieGuyKen.

I look forward to making new friends in this community.

Thanks to Simon and Lilly for rolling out the welcome mat, and everyone in the community for sharing your love of fashion dolls!

Yours in Barbie® (et al.),

Jared

Hi Jared! Welcome and nice to meet you. Your photos are lovely. Thanks for sharing your blog link and FB page. I added your blog to my Google Reader list.

My blog is on Blogger. I also write for Philadelphia Examiner. I've collected for over 30 years, but I have only been blogging and photographing dolls since 2008.

There is so much fun blogging about playscale figures and sharing this fun with others. I hope you enjoy all of it.

Sincerely,

Dana aka D7ana

Hi Dana! Thanks! I've just checked out your blog, and it's pretty cool!  I like the feature you did about the play scale figure wearing a "fat suit".  Very interesting doll stuff.

I'm pleased to make your acquaintance here on Doll Observers.

Warm regards,

Jared

Hi Jared! So nice to meet you. I know what you mean about Moxie Girlz. I'm so tempted to get one also... Hahahahaha!

Hi Jared! I enjoyed looking over your blog. You have done a great job editing the dolls into the backgrounds. The hotel room scene looks very real, and I especially like the photo of Goldfinger Barbie at the pool shower. The photo of the presidential candidate Barbie is Hilllarious!

Hi Ada! Pleased to make your acquaintance here!  I haven't caved in to Moxie Teenz yet as of this writing, but one never knows!
