I live in apartment and although it is not exactly small, storage space is of a premium. I have often struggled to keep things in order, intact and accessible, especially as I am a deboxer! Although I do keep expensive/delicate dolls with their boxes. Today I attempted to get things sorted!

So it was with great fortune that I stumbled across some fantastic storage solutions!

So I have started started to pack my 1/4 scale stuff in the compartmented box and 1/6 dolls in the A4 boxes. They are working so well I think I will be making some more purchases!

So how do you store your dolls?

this is a fantastic idea! I love the idea of seing through

I keep each of my gang inside their own carton box, , I store them naked of course and the are quietly "sleeping on a white tissu the line the bottom of the box

I made some year ago a kind of "fabric shelf" each compartment is +- the size of 2 boxes, the all thing is hanged to the ceiling and I slip the boxes in and out it horizontaly, I mark each box with a picture and the name of the doll in it, like this I know exactly who will be in the boxe when I need her/him

for the clothes the are individually in plastic bag.

Thanks Lilly, sounds very organised! Are the bags that the clothes are in Zip lock ones?

@ Simon

yes they are in Zip lock, I have started to place the cloth in open bag some years ago bu as we were "playing stories"we my girl friend all the bag were opening all by them self and the clothes were a mess. believe me when I say that I am not a picky type but playing and organizing in the same time? nah!!. so I went to the closet chines bazaar and bought hundred of Zip Bag, now since I keep on sewing for them I organized the bags in "drawers"

the drawer are originaly the very strong plastic (blue)fuel containers. I cut 1 side and clean them, now I have 15 of them ,,,and they are full hee hee

I'm very lucky to have a fairly large house and only 3 of us living in it, so I have 4 cabinets where almost all my dolls are on display, and only a few are stored in my closet for the time being, in their original boxes.

Here's a not-too-good picture that gives an idea of my display

These cabinets are just the right size for the dolls to stand up. As you can just barely see at the bottom of the picture, there are solid door cabinets on the very bottom to store the doll clothes, books and accessories. So the clothes are in little plastic drawers that just fit in the cabinet.

I was thrilled to find these glass windowed cabinets in the right size for (30 cm) dolls at a local furniture store, so I was going to buy 2, but incredibly my dear husband actually encouraged me to buy 3 even though I didn't have that many dolls at the time! Needless to say, the cabinets are now over full! But it is nice because the whole wall of that room is dolls.

Most of the cabinet "rooms" are wall papered, but only a few are really furnished

my dolls are stored in their rooms, I took over one of our spare bedrooms and added shelving big enough to make rooms. each room is 34 x24x16 which gives a good size shelf for dioramas. clothing and assecories are all in ziplock bags in plastic containers. I also have other shelving where the girls stand until they get a room...lol this is a picture of one wall, there's been more added to this shelf since this picture, but it gives you an idea how I store my dolls

My dolls are all in one curio cabinet..they are also on a book shelf..I have some larger dolls that sit on the floor. My problem is I collect many different sizes of dolls and I have moved into much smaller house..so...I am constantly reorganizing..I like your see through containers..I am going to use your idea.

My Barbies have all been absconded to the playroom, by my daughters!  My Tonner girls sit on my dresser (I only have 2, so far)

This is an absolutely amazing collection Valerie.
