BE SURE TO READ FIRST - SOME NEW RULES AND GUIDANCE!

It is difficult to escape the fact that the summer is hotting up with may sporting events what with the recent European Cup Football, Wimbledon and the upcoming Olympics. So lets not leave out the dolls! Therefore the theme for July is 'Sports Day'! Time to get out the lycra and spandex girls and boys ;)

The winning photo voted by members will now win a whopping $50 PRIZE!! Plus the winning pic will spend a month featured on our front page and be the header of our Facebook Fan Page too!

The 'rules' of the theme photo competition are very simple:

  1. Your photo must contain a doll or dolls
  2. The photo must be taken recently, specifically for the challenge
  3. Make sure the photo relates to the spirit of the relevant month's theme
  4. Members should enter one photo only per theme (although you are free to add more but please highlight which particular photo you would like to go forward into the competition).
  5. Give your photo a title, whether it be witty or cuttingly cool!
  6. Post your picture in the Theme Photo thread in the discussion forum below
  7. Make sure to have as much fun as possible!

When replying to comments containing pics be sure to delete the pic which gets added to your reply in order to minimise the confusion that repeat pics can cause. Many thanks for your care and attention :)

Such fabulous entries this month, I am loving them all!!!!

I have been working on my theme photo all month, but I have also been trying to improve my lighting skills and diorama set-ups.  And I have been having lots of fun!  My husband has a wide format printer and he's made me a few background photos, but I am still experimenting.  I want my photos to look fab like Deb's and Nilsa's!  That's another topic!

I've had a lot of fun with sports day, posing and photographing my Monster High cheerleaders, my sporty-outfitted Liv dolls and Barbie Fashionistas, and my Monster High roller-skating ghouls.  I have finally decided to stop experimenting and submit a photo for the contest.  Now my monthly doll challenge project is complete and I can do other things, like organize and edit my doll collection.

Here is my official entry, I've titled it "Frankie Falls".  I hope you all enjoy it!

This is fab Annette! I love the background and a cool set up. Your experimenting has paid off, well done you! :)

What a great idea! I never thought of taking the dolls swimming. It reminds me of when my friends and I used to play Barbies and the bathroom sink was their swimming pool.

Good job, Annette! The dolls look very expressive and I can completely believe they're at the roller derby rink

Thanks Simon and Valerie.

Here are the shots of the Fearleader Ghouls and sporty fashions that were some of my other theme photo attempts. I like these, but not as much as the rollerskating ghouls.

cute cheerleaders!!!!!!

Thanks Nilsa!  I love the cheerleaders too, but I just couldn't get the right background.

However, Diane did let me know that she thought it was fine for the Monster dolls to be cheerleading in the graveyard!.. LOL!

My entry is called "Taking a breather"

I was amazed that when she wore those big sneakers (from a Licca outfit), the Momoko doll could stand up with no support!

great picture Valerie

Second that! Well done Valerie and thanks for your entry :)
