Hello, I'm Allison from the suburbs of Detroit. My 'collection' began when I was allegedly too old to play with dolls. That's when Grandma brought a few crates down from the attic, she'd saved every doll my mom and aunt had. It was twenty Christmas mornings all at once! I think they had every doll from the early Barbie years, and some great outfits. I've gone through phases with what I add to my collection, for a while it was Takara Jenny and Licca dolls, a couple Pullips and then my extra-special girl, Loolu. She's a Dream of Doll Petsha, a mature MSD sized BJD. Over the last few years I haven't been very serious about the hobby, but I'm getting back into it and having a fabulous time.
I enjoy crafts and sewing. My 1/6 scale seamstress skills need some work, but I'm having fun. Knitting is nice, I'm not very good at it so I stick with simple things. I run an online vintage shop so I spend a fair amount of time at garage sales and thrift shops- sometimes I find a nice doll and get all excited.
My dolls and I live with an iguana named Princess Bob-arella (she knew her name was Bob before I knew she was a girl!) and a Boston terrier named Sadie. I'm 32, Bob the iguana is 6, and I think Sadie is about 5. I adopted her about a year and a half ago so I'm not entirely sure.
Hi Allison, this is Yaz'mine. Welcome to our family sweetie, very nice story. I hope you have a Awesome time here!!!!!!
Hello Allison, welcome aboard!!
I'm sure you will have fun here!
I already love it here and I don't think I've even seen half of the pages yet. It's a pleasure to meet you both, thanks Yaz'mine and Nilsa.
Welcome and thanks for the lovely introduction! Sounds like you have an amazingly varied collection. I am keen to see your BJD girls (all you dolls in fact!).
Waves to you, Princess Bo-arella, Sadie!
So glad you found us, Allison!
A fellow doll, sewing and animal lover...we can't have near enough of these types.
It's an older photo, before I replaced her eyes, but Loolu wanted to say hello too.
She's lovely and her hair is stunning!!
Thank you Simon. I got her wig as a trade, not sure who made it. It's mohair with a bit of color on the tips, very soft.
