Hello everyone,
Becoming a member of Doll Observers and receiving members' positive comments have inspired me to create a website. I am a total amateur, and I have encountered a huge learning curve not knowing terms like "SEO" and "Meta Tag". But, the site is published and I would love to share it with all of you. I would enjoy seeing any comments or suggestion you may wish to make. Please take a peek. Thanks. http://francescadollcouture.weebly.com/

Permalink Reply by Frances Weir on November 1, 2011 at 7:38 Thank you Lilly and Simon. I am finding out there is sooooooo much to learn about websites and hits etc. Right now I am probably found on page 5782395 on a doll fashion search. LOL. I feel a bit like a lamb among wolves but nothing ventured...... I am sure I have made and will make many mistakes but there is always the delete button. And.....I just bought a new FR, she should arrive in a day or two so that is exciting too..."Pencil Me In Eugenia" will need new fashions.

You could try to create a website/blog on a platform such as Wordpress or Blogspot. It would really improve your chances to be found. :) I've seen that a lot of doll collector have their websites on www.blogspot.com and they connect with each other by using the Google Friend application. You should try it.
Permalink Reply by xGlamFairyx on November 1, 2011 at 13:52 I love your millinery and knit creations! The site is very smooth to navigate, with pleasing graphics that are easy on the eye. Especially enjoyed your diorama, "Liz At Home."

Hi Frances, your creations are stunning and I am sure you will find an audience and a market for them. I would try putting a pic on your home page as this is often the page visitors find first and a pic of your work would help make is 'sticky' and make them want to find out more.
Permalink Reply by Frances Weir on November 2, 2011 at 7:15 Thanks so much. I really love making the hats and fascinators. The dioramas are fun too. I just got an Elvis so I shall have to see what I can do with him and some of my girls.
