New member - and apparently the 500th ;) yay!

Hi everyone!  My name is Sharon Wright, I'm normally a filmmaker but my hobby is photography.  

I got hooked onto the dolls because our neighbor is a big collector of Integrity Toys dolls.  As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to shoot them - and of course, then I had to start buying them myself, lol.  So - here I am, an addict, like the rest of you and glad to be among others who understand the sickness :)

I'd love to connect with designers and such and do some pics for trade, if possible!

HA!  No doubt!  She has an AMAZING collection - but I feel bad going over every day asking to play with her dolls...so I had to start getting some of my own.  

I don't have any fashions or accessories for them really, so I'm trying to be creative.  I'd love to get connected to people who design clothes and shoot their work for trade....hopefully one day ;) 

And I have lots more images - it just allowed me 24 each day

Welcome, Sharon! I've seen some of your photos around the web, and follow you on Flickr -- you are very talented! 

It was seeing photographs of Fashion Royalty dolls that got me into this addiction. As soon as I saw one particular picture, I knew I had to collect these dolls and photograph them. But I had never taken photos before, so your pics are in a completely different league!

Hey Divafan!!  Good to see you here!  I too hadn't taken pics before I saw the dolls, I literally just learned how to use a "real" camera about 6 months ago, so you aren't alone!  

I wish I could "collect" them, but since I want to take so many pics of them, I pretty much just end up buying and reselling quickly.  I have one doll that is mine forever and there are a couple coming in the new line that I am sure will stick around too - so who knows, I may be a "collector" by the end of the year ;)

OMG you're a NEW photographer?! I'm going back to bed!   Just kidding....you are amazing. I study your pics to see what angles, etc. you shoot from. So can I at least tell myself that you've been working with FILM for years? LOL!

Sort of - I fell into acting and modeling about 5 years ago on accident, then directed my first film about 3 years ago.  Getting ready to shoot my next movie this summer (hopefully if funding comes through).  I have been lucky in the industry and take every chance to learn everything I can so I think that has helped a ton.  Btw - I'm 43, so it's never too late to start something new apparently!  Whodathunkit!
