Hi ya'll!

I'm Kitty.  I have always loved fashion dolls, but i forgot how much until I was recently reminded by my daughters obsession (ok..maybe mine) with Monster High.  We have been collecting for 2 years.  I do have a few of my old Barbies from when I was a kid and passed soome of my Glamour Gals onto my daughter.

I'm so interested to learn from all of you.  I know there is a wealth of knowledge here and eager to learn. I have started redesigning "Barbie" furniture and creating dioramas (and I thought "Dior" really had something to do with the word!!) and exploring photography with them.

Reconnecting with my love of dolls, has for the first time in my life, made me wish for 48 hours in a day!  Time flies while I play with them.

Looking forward to meeting and making friends with ya'll.  Wanting to attend some conventions as well.

I'm in Michigan, and would LOVE to meet some other collectors locally.

Hi Kitty,

So nice of you to introduce yourself and say 'hi' ;) You will indeed find a wealth of collective knowledge here, our members will be very happy to help you out too with any advice you may need, I'm sure!

Warm regards, Simon

Hey Kitty:

The good news is, there are lots of Doll collecting communities in the MidWest, so you will have no problem meeting folks in person.  :-D  What kind of work do you do when you redesign furniture?

Love...B

I take "barbie" style furniture and repaint.  I also repurpose and recylce items for the dolls.  I sew bedding, curtains, pillows.  I've yet to venture into clothing, but I'm researching it.

Please to meet you Barbara

Welcome Kitty! I am new as well but have been having a great time looking around and meeting everyone.

Hi Kitty, I'm also new here. Nice to meet you!

Hi Anne.

Hi Nilsa.

Pleasure to meet you both

We can always use bedding and linens.  I, for one, am looking for throw blankets and towels.  :-D
