OMG!!! I just searched German eBay for fun and someone is selling two Pams I've never seen before!!

I see the doll from german ebay, but she is totally out of focus. I mean the photo is so blurry, I can't see it.

  It is good to put a website to increase interest, but on the downside if there is more interest, and more people are buying, that means there is less left for you, and more competition. If you post a doll you want to buy, then others could see it, so I only post if I don't want the doll. It's very frustrating to have a website, I have one with a doll section, I don't think anyone looks at it. I could do a lot more, I could make whole page for maddie mod, because there are no pages for maddie mod, but don't have enough information about the doll to be an authority of the subject. So, if I go to google saarch for maddie mod, I don't come up at all, I don't rank in google at all. You can only find my page, if you search for me by screen name, otherwise, it's all the waste to put good information up when no one can find it.

I mainly made my website for my own pleasure. It's two hobbies of mine combined: collecting dolls and creating websites! Hehe. :) Besides, I always made pictures of my dolls wearing selfmade clothes in my childhood, but we didn't have digital cameras yet back then and the pictures were always a disappointment, they turned out extremely blurry because I had tried photographing the dolls from too close. So really, being able to photograph them now and show my collection online, even if nobody but me looks at it, is satisfying a childhood dream. Helping others, the few Pam Love nerds in this universe who are very happy with my page, is just a plus :)

 

The pics of the dolls from Germany are blurry indeed, but as a Pam fanatic I know exactly which head molds these are. And I don't own such head molds with straight hair! Also, this series of fashions is new to me and so is the design of the box! It's like a major win win!! :D

 

The seller just replied, he initially didn't want to send the dolls to the Netherlands because of the high shipping cost. Hello? Excuse me? Can I PLEASE pay the shipping cost for you? :P

 

I hope these dolls will be mine. Unfortunately one of the auctions will run for another 19 (!!) days. And there's no BIN. What the hell.

 

EDIT He's taking them off of eBay RIGHT NOW for me to have them for €2,50 each!! Oh wow :D

oh, good I am glad you got your dolls, can you take a good photo of that doll? I would like to see it more clearly. I was thinking you can try to find someone in spain, maybe if you buy from another ebay spain person, and paid them, they could buy the dolls, and then mail them to you.

As soon as I get them I'll definitely take better shots of them. :) Oh my, I'm so happy. Another Pam find haha. I think I've bought a Pam doll or item every day this week..! They're not expensive but still..! Lol. Never thought I'd be able to find this many dolls... And still in their original box as well, oh wow...

 

About the dolls in Spain, yeah, I'm still hoping someone from Spain can help me but I'd really rather not bother anyone with such a matter. It takes a lot of trust. I know I'm trustworthy, but over the internet who can tell? I've taken a risk once by helping someone I didn't know out with €20, trusting they'd pay me back and they never did. I still feel screwed and ashamed :P

However, if they were an eaby seller, that you bought from I don't think they would do that. But, a random person, not so good. If you have the dolls anyway in boxed, you may find someday you have too many dolls, like me. I am just like you. I do panic collecting, I think I will never find it again, so I have to have a lot of it.

But I honestly do think these dolls will never turn up again :P. Okay, I'm a panic collector, so sue me haha :D. It's a backfire effect from my youth. When they suddenly weren't available anymore, I wished I'd bought more when I had the chance. I'm just catching up... and better yet, I now have the possibility to buy dolls that were never before available to me.

Same for me, I started with Jem, and they did stop making her so then started sailormoon, and they don't make her any more, and so now I need to move to a bigger house, I have over 100 dolls.

Haha I don't have that many yet but I will have soon, if I keep it up at this pace!

 

I'm trying not to get doubles really, I got one double for free because someone sent me the wrong doll by accident and she didn't need it back after she sent me the right doll, but I didn't really need that double doll added to my collection.

 

Okay okay, I'll be straight with you, one of the dolls from Spain I already have NRFB :P. I should really go for only one of them, especially since they're €10 each.

yes, I read the had that doll already, the thing is once you start getting a lot it is addictive, there is a the trill of the find. I am just the same. When you are not adding to the collection you feel low, like you could be missing something. I need one of those 12 steps.

 My sister was dying and so I got really into the dolls.

Can't reply to you, so I'll start on the left again :).

 

I understand that your dolls were a refuge at that time. I can relate, on a different level, but still. I should be working on my studies right now because frankly I've already missed a few deadlines for my graduation, which is horrible. I have a tendency to flee into my hobbies when I need to do something I don't like, and at those times they become an obsession. Once I've graduated I'm sure dolls won't be that much of an obsession anymore. I'll still love them and keep collecting them, but in a more healthy way.

 

I totally get what you're saying. If I'm not searching the numerous versions of eBay I've got bookmarked every day, I'm afraid I might miss a particular doll. When does a hobby become an unhealthy obsession? :P

 

I'm very sorry to hear about your sister by the way. How long has it been?

she has been gone since thanksgiving. It is hard to tell when it's too much. I know it is too much for me. So I am trying to just look and learn instead of buying.
