What do you look for when you're buying dolls online? Do you prefer NRFB or in need of some TLC, or both?
I personally started out buying all the Pamela Love dolls (and other Ocean Toys dolls) I could find. I ended up with loads and loads of bodies and heads to use, but most of the heads have dry, tangled hair. When I found out that even Pamelas show up on eBay NRFB, if you look hard enough, I focused all my attention on those dolls. I don't have a lot of money to spend as a student, and buying all the dolls I can find is a dream for the future :P. For the moment I have more than enough old dolls to reroot and restyle, so I try (:P) to only buy dolls MIB right now.
Current joys are these on todocoleccion.net:

I hope to win them tonight, in two hours and 20 minutes!
On the same website, these are a frustration for me every day, because the Spanish seller refuses to ship internationally:

I already have one of those dolls MIB in my collection, but I don't care. I want them. Meh :P

Permalink Reply by Evelien on March 8, 2011 at 19:57 Once again I proved that searching ebay.de aside from ebay.nl is worth my time. Just found some Pamela Love dolls and some NRFP Pamela Love outfits, one of which I've been dying to get since I was like ten years old!! They didn't show up on foreign auctions when I searched Dutch eBay. How annoying.
Hope I win!!!

Permalink Reply by Tropical Thought on March 10, 2011 at 17:40 It is hard to find things using a saved search on ebay. I spent a lot of time refining a search by using -words to eliminate unwanted items, but then it betrayed me. True story, I was searching for toy ducks, then I remembered the term duckie, instead of duck. I did not want a stuffed duckie, so I had vintage duckie, and got 18 results, not bad, so I put -stuffed, then I only got three results, but it had eliminated many items that did not have stuffed in the terms. In fact, cutting it down to 3, so I redid the search with some other terms, instead of -stuffed, I used -puppet, since I di did not want a puppet, and some of them were puppets. This time it gave me only 2 results, that were not puppets, but eliminating most of the good items. Therefore, there is sometimes a flaw in the results, so this means you have to search a new each day and not from a saved searched. But, if you are looking for many items, this is too time consuming. I am mostly hunting for new photos to help with doll IDs, so I have a lot of saved searches. But, if one is only looking for one type of doll, as in Pamela love or the furniture, it is not such a big deal, but I think people should be warned, they can miss things if you trust the saved search.

Permalink Reply by Evelien on March 15, 2011 at 10:32 OH MY GOD!!!!!! 250788519446 on German eBay, http://www.ebay.de - TWELVE Pams and loads loads loads of clothing I'm dying to have!
Yesterday 4 loose dolls went for 25€ and they were nothing special, so I wonder if I stand a chance... Mailed the seller my offer but I'm afraid she'll take her chances with the bids if she knows what the dolls are worth to me...
