Hi Samantha,

I have never been brave enough to attempt something like re-rooting but there are many here who are very talented in this area so I'm sure they can help you

I used some long tweezers to pull the hair out from the inside.  I also used some finger nail polish remover to soften the glue.  It took some time, and my daughters learned some new cusswords that day.   The doll is still bald.

Hi I can help.. Just cut the hair as close to the head as you can and get a pile of different tweezers with diffferent antles and remove the head from the body and start plucking from the inside.  I would use hot water to soften the glue but don't use anything on the  inside of the head that might leak out and ruin the face paint or weaken the vinyl - all these recipes the doll companies use on the doll heads can be weaker than you might expect.. so use harsh chemicals as little as possible - remember you are likely going to have to use some of them on the outside once you have the hair removed to strip the remove the paint on the outside fo the scalp.  Okay once you have removed the head and cut the hair as close as you can - pop the head in hot water (not boiling) and using the tweezers remove as much as you can from the inside.  Then pluck the remaining from the outside - making sure to get it all - you don't need the old hair coming through on your reroot..  let me know if there is anything else I can help with - I've done alot of rerooting so have learnt along the way the easiest way to get things done.. without damaging the doll heads...Val.

thanks so much that was really helpful!!! i will definatley ask you if i have any more questions!!:) thanks again for the time and great answer!!!

lol, thanks so much!!!!

It's true.  The nail polish remover did take the face off.  But, I was trying to figure out how to do it, already...
