with the recent nicki minag, and katie perry barbie dolls being released, and the "rumored" kardashian sisters barbies (ewe) for 2012 what famous person would you most like to see as a fashion doll?
i choice is actor/musician zooey deschanel, she is the cutest thing ever! and has the best style! and i think they should make a barbie of her, and call it the zooey deschadoll!
love to hear who everyone else would like to see forever immortalized in plastic!

Also a Judy Garland Doll would be amazing! it could be something along the lines of the Gene Marshall fashion doll

David Bowie as Jareth from Labyrinth and I'm planning to OOAK a Shirley Manson doll. I think Garbage is possibly my favorite band. On the other hand, it would be so cool to have Indigo Girls dolls. With guitars. Wait a minute, what am I thinking? Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek from Desperado, definitely!
Permalink Reply by andy sorensen on December 18, 2011 at 23:52 those would all be great, i especially love the idea of david bowie from labyrinth, or even maybe a ziggy stardust would be cool, shirley manson would be super awesome as well, and i think a red haired midge would work perfect (garbage has a special place in my heart as they record in madison wi, where i lived until recently) i have some friends who would go see them play at private shows, and one of the band members was at a bar downtown one night while my friend (mark herr) and i were there! (i was doing some adult beverage induced karaoke...)

Lol, drunken karaoke. An entertainment unto itself. I collect Tonner dolls, so I'm going to be doing the Shirley Manson OOAK on one of their blank dolls, they have one that already has her general face shape, and a high red ponytail. I've got a red dress for her, so I'm going to be basing it on "The World Is Not Enough" music video. When I've saved up enough money for the mannequin, the paint, the brushes, and a "How-to" book, anyway.

Permalink Reply by Ada Bogoevici on December 21, 2011 at 13:47 I want a Victoria Beckham Barbie. I know there are VB dolls by Hasbro, but I want a Barbie one as the others are not so...pretty. And a Natalia Oreiro doll. Maybe even a Thalia one as she's such a huge Barbie fan and collector.
Permalink Reply by Diane Di-dolls on January 19, 2012 at 14:26 I would love to see Tonner do a Freddie Mercury doll. I love Freddie and Queen and Freddie was such an icon. He had some seriously outrageous costumes too! A young Freddie in his Bohemian days would be amazing as he is mostly remembered now as he was in the '80's in jeans and vest sporting a great big moustache!

Tonner made a Judy Garland doll not long ago, she's fairly good, and you can still find her on ebay.

Permalink Reply by Barbara E on January 20, 2012 at 4:41 I too, would like to see a doll company take on Freddie Mercury, though the action figure company Neca has already done a couple of versions of Freddie. I'd like to see one in the cape and crown.
Permalink Reply by Diane Di-dolls on January 20, 2012 at 7:32 Yeah, that would be good. Freddie had so many outrageous costumes a doll designer would be spoiled for choice!
