Permalink Reply by Kitty on February 18, 2012 at 15:30 First let me say this is my first Tonner/Tyler Wentworth or any larger doll for that matter. I am in total shock!!! I had no idea how much larger these dolls are!!!! She is lovely. However, I have no idea what scale to use with her. I wish her face was prettier. I've seen so many beautiful repaints, but to my dismay I am not a talented painter. Would love to meet others who have experience with these larger dolls. Oh my goodness, I have never been so excited and confused at the same time. Lol

You have one of the older dolls, which are not molded or painted as well as the newer ones. Visit TonnerDirect.com to see the latest dolls, they are quite astonishing. You can work with them in 16 inch scale, lots of sewing patterns are available on ebay, I would recommend ebay seller DesignsbyJude. Furniture is extremely hard to find, and when you do find it, it is expensive. If you are interested, however, check out the AngelicDreamz Website, which has 16 inch scale furniture available from Integrity Toys.

~first of all congratulation on your new edition!
I know the feeling believe me. some years back I was just (if not collector)a Barbie fan, I was making/sale outfit for her (see the first posts in my blog http://domidoll.blogspot.com/ ) then as I was member of the Barbie club of Alberta (Canada) one of the member brought Gene Marshal (Mel Odom) OH My Doll was i instantly in love !! I didn't love her face so much (her over make up eyes didn't impress me much) but the size..the scale...the proportion...and elegance wow!! It didn't take long before I bought (expensively for me at time, compared to the second hand Barbies I was used to buy ) but believe me I was hooked!. and then when Tyler went out I was dreaming (literally) about her! Hubby decided that I wouldn't be happy without her and bought one. when I received her my heart exploded. Lilly as you can see,(Tyler) is still my favorite . now all my gang is composed of Tonner/Mel Odom/Mme Alexander and other dolls of this size. I have more the 30 of them. each of them has a story, a personal life, a personal address's (working on it right now with Google map)a job etc...
believe me if you want me to talk about my Gang I "Talk a lot!!
