I am sorry to say that I am running out of room for more Barbies in my home.  My husband can't keep up on the shelf making so I have decided to try my hand at rerooting.  I would like to take some of my "second hand" dolls that I have purchased at thrift stores and do a few makeovers.  My only problem is I have never tried any reroots just repaints and that did not turn out so well.  Does anyone have any tips on rerooting?

She's very pretty - there must be a way - I'll investigate more!

Thank you!
What it looks like is that her head is the same as the picture you s howed me on Flicr. then a thin rubber type mask with the face and hair goes over the top.
You may be able to roll this off if you run it under hot water - but I have never done this before.

Thanks so much everyone for all your help! I'm going to give it a shot I'll let you know how it turns out but I have a feeling it might take me awhile, lol.
Really Lovely!
Looks like these guys did a really good job, there is nothing I hate more then when a Barbie looks like she went to the scary clown beauty salon for a makeover, lol.
