Yes, but I assume the dolls all have the same bodies, as otherwise you could not swap the heads, so why bother? People usually swap heads to put a head they like on a different body they particularly like. There used to be whole articles on this in BB before it folded. As for 'everyone' changing bodies - I htik it's only the collectors of certain types of cheaper dolls - I mean, I'm not going to put a bubblecut head on a TNT body - or an American girl head on a standard body. ( Unless I am trying to claim it is something rare and 'European' on ebay!

FR collectors swap and change and they are not cheap... It's true...I've never heard of someone to change the body on a vintage Barbie. I'm not a swapper, as I have already said, but I've seen so many ppl talk about this on different forum that I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the collectors do this.

Oh, my GOD! I just checked on FR dolls - haven't seem them for a while, as I don;t have much to do with that kind of thing..no wonder people swap heads - yet another range of dolls that look like trannies! What is it with these ugly dolls now? They all look like drag queens - or sybarites. ( Same thing)

Ppl have different tastes. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think we should judge what others think is beautiful. There are a lot of ppl around here that enjoy these dolls and they may feel insulted. :)

What has happened to freedom of expression? We should judge, constantly! If someone is going to feel insulted about someone else not liking what they like, well, tough. I've never liked dolls in ballgowns - but I know they are very popular, especially in US. These dolls must be popular - because they sell and they wouldn't be made otherwise. It's just that SO many dolls now have that tranny look, sp. sybarites!

WHO ARE YOU TO BE GIVING ADVICE?
This is what is so boring about the internet now - NO ONE ever gives an opinion - there used to be really good discussions, now it's just dullness after dullness and as soon as anyone says they don't like something - it's ' Oh, people might not like it'
I want to know WHY people don't like something - in detail - then you an discuss it and the whole place becomes more lively.

In my experience the problem with the internet is that when people purport to give an 'opinion' it soon spirals out of control as written word is often misread and misinterpreted. That is the internets major downfall IMHO. That's when things just get nasty and there is enough nastiness in the world. This is a site to have fun and chat about all kinds of dolls, nothing more nothing less so let let in the light peeps!
