Originally released by Kenner in 1972 and sold for one year only. She went mostly unloved since then until a talented phtographer named Gina Garan redicovered her an international Superstar!
Blythe is now made by Japanese company Takara, under license from Hasbro (who bought out Kenner years ago). Modern Blythe is know as Neo Blythe to collectors.

Simple question really... does this cheap little version of Blythe have ANYTHING to do with the real Blythe? The thing is, I'd love to have one of these to accompany my 6" dolls in their dollhouse,…Read More

Comment by Robynne Talbot-Scobie on April 23, 2013 at 6:43 I'm sorry I can't help you as I am in Australia. I bought most of mine on ebay from China as new factory Doll. Still the same quality just naked and in need of hair styling. I like that as then I can make thick long braids. Just got three from huiniyaclothes and am very happy with them and sewing now.
Cheers Rob.

Comment by Robynne Talbot-Scobie on April 14, 2013 at 9:05 Hi Kat and other Blythe lovers, I am already excited as June 15 I will be going to the Blythe Fest held down under. This little doll has really captured my heart. Did I say I already have six and two knock offs? Tell me when to stop please!
Hi Robynne! The very first place I went to on the web is http://www.xoxoblythe.com/blog/. I found several patterns there. I wanted to send you a message first, but, we have to be friends before I can do that!
. If you knit or crochet, there are quite a few nice patterns on Ravlery.
Cheers!
