Hi, I'm Karen McGuire, Editor of Designer Dolls Magazine. And I've written a couple of fun, entertaining books for fashion doll lovers everywhere! "How To Play With Dolls as an Adult" and "The Fashion Doll Diorama" can both be found on Amazon.com. OR I can supply these to you at a 10% discount. Just say you saw it here on the Doll Observers Book Club Group! I certainly don't claim to be an expert at either subject, but it was so much fun to do that I just had to write about it and share my experiences with other fashion doll enthusiasts! Thank you, and Enjoy! Karen
Just send me a private message with your email and I'll send you the pdf file
I am currently reading (and watching) Game of Thrones, I would LOVE to have a doll in the likeness of Peter Dinklage, I've been crushing on him since the 90's.
Oooh, cool! I am definitely interested!
Sorry I didn't reply before. I don't think it's silly to cry for someone's death, specially if it's someone you admire
I've made a "Fahrenheit 451" printable for 12" dolls (but I think it will work on a bigger one as a pocket edition). Drop me a line if you're interested
That's not a silly comment at all, I used to re-enact entire books with my barbies, and I'm currently working on recreating The Last Unicorn with my Tonners!
Ray Bradbury is my favorite author, btw, I know it sounds silly but I actually cried when he died. Sigh.
I don't have any books that have influenced my doll collecting (yet), but when I was a little girl I used to play with my dolls getting based on the books that I had read. I named my dolls with the same name as the characters on my books had and I setted scenerios inspired by how I imagined their house was etc. Maybe this comment doesn't fit much with the aim of the group, but I remembered this and I thought that it would be nice to share it. I hope you don't think this is a silly comment.
By the way, I'm currently reading "Farenheit 451", but it has very few to do with dolls
Thanks, Dom! It sounds amazing. I will add it to my queue on Amazon. Sounds like a very interesting read, indeed!
