Since this group is about collecting...how about we talk about our collections? What's in your collection right now? Pictures would be wonderful.

Come on guys! Lets hear about your collections :)

my favorites in my collection are my resin girls :)

These gals are just gorgeous.

My doll collection has been taken over by Monster High!

I've always loved and collected fashion dolls, mainly thrift store and playline dolls, and a few collectable Barbies that stayed in their boxes.  Then about a year ago I found Monster High dolls, and collecting them has become an obsession!  At the same time that I discovered MH dolls, I discovered the online world of doll collecting, doll blogs, doll fan forums and photo sharing sites.  All these discoveries combined to get me playing with my dolls daily now, whereas previously weeks would go by without me enjoying dolls.

I really enjoy hearing about other doll collectors and seeing their collections.  It's like playing dolls online!

I started collecting Tonner dolls four years ago this March. My mother had just come home from the hospital, where she had just had heart surgery, almost died of complications, and had been comatose for a month. I NEEDED a doll. I had just given away all of my old barbies and I'd always admired tonners anyway, so I went on ebay, typed in "tonner dolls nude" and fell in love with the first doll that popped up, "Poison Ivy." I have been very busy and now I have almost 20 tonner dolls, but that first one,"Andrea" as I call her, is still my favorite. My dolls are my comfort, my solace, and my wellspring of creativity. Here are some pictures of the one who started it all.

I love the Monster High dolls and I do have a bunch of them. They're irresistable. Thanks for the picture.

Wonderful story, Mary. I hope your mom is OK now.

I love Tonner's Poison Ivy with her porcelain skin and red hair. She is gorgeous. It's interesting that you portrayed Snape as a loving father. Who would think of him in that role? Very creative. Some of Tonner's male dolls are amazing and Snape is one of them.  I hope to see more pictures of your collection.

Thanks, Terri, my mother is much better now.    I've been in love with Alan Rickman since I saw Truly, Madly, Deeply when I was 13. I just about faint when I hear that sonorously seductive voice. And who could resist such a tragic love story as Snape and Lily? Anyway, I invented a whole new persona for the doll, his name is Viktor, (sometimes in my head I call him "Snapey") he's a classical music producer, and Andrea is his star and his world. They have a little girl, Fiona, and she's about a year and and a half. I play with my dolls in real time, which is kind of bizarre, but fun. More pictures? You got it! Here's a pic of Andrea and Viktor on their honeymoon in St. Petersburgh!

I love it! This is such a tender photo.

I'm in love with the Fashion Royalty dolls!

Strictly speaking I'm not a collector, I'm a player.

I'm looking for little models for my handmade fashions, so the dolls in my show case come and go ...

My latest little beauty is High Toned Rayna, a hard to find convention doll. I love the face mold and make up, the skin color and the long hair.

I'm more of a player, than a collector, too. I can't leave them boxed! Right now my collection is limited to two Tyler Wentworth dolls (a nude Millennium Ball I bought on EBay, and a Nu Mood Tyler I bought directly from Tonner)and three reborn dolls that I painted.

Heehee, I'm a player, too! Why spend all that money if you can't have any fun?
