Excuse the quality, I used my iPad! Also excuse the state of Mia's wig, it needs a good stylin'. One day I might get back into it... I got very discouraged by the rooting... And the expense!

Hi Teri
My name is Lisa and I have been collecting dolls for what my Mother tells me is since I was born!! I collect Barbie, Monster high, Fashion Royalty, and Misaki (only one so far hehehe). I am such a doll hoarderette I never know how my collection will change. I collect what I like that ends up inspiring a new collection. Early on in my adult collection I started with porcelain dolls that you could find at the stores or home parties. As my love for dolls was so inspired by Barbie and baby dolls as a kid I wanted to infuse that into to my adult. I began my collectiong with Lee Middleton baby dolls. I just loved the sleepy sweetness of Lee Middletons baby faces. I ended up joining a porcelain doll making studio and made lots of baby dolls and toddler looking dolls and got certified in modern doll making. I also assisted the owner with teaching children on saturdays. The studio closed about 14 years ago. But my appetite for doll collecting was more intense then ever. This is when my Barbie doll collecting started and has ended yet!! Then I discovered Fashion royalty. I only have about 20 in my collection. I had to count them as I thought I had thirteen but had forgotten about my In the china cabinet ones...I have belonged to a few doll forums in the past. I belonged to the pinkbox an msn group for many years and was introduced to rement and diorama settings. I then found In the Pink, doll divas, and vinyl lounge. I just recently discovered dollobservers really by accident and have been here since. I am the Integrity dolls and toys admin here at doll observers. There is more to my story but I think this was enough for today!! Sorry to go on and on and on!!!
