Excuse the quality, I used my iPad! Also excuse the state of Mia's wig, it needs a good stylin'. One day I might get back into it... I got very discouraged by the rooting... And the expense!

Terri, Barbie was my Queen for years and years and I collected all things Barbie. I even belonged to a Barbie club. Then, at one of the meetings in 2005, one of our members brought a Momoko doll. I absolutely fell in love with her and now I have 30! Oh, my! Poppy Parker? Same thing. So, while Barbie dominates my collection, the new girls are making their presence known! I love the Silkstones, but I don't do big dresses, so my collection of them is limited in that respect. I love the Barbie Basics and have quite a few of them. I love the pop culture dolls, as well, and, of course vintage.

I think our collections change over time. We find new passions and change course and the laws of physics dictate we cannot keep everything forever. So, the doll gods made ebay!! :o)

I especially love the people I meet along the way! THAT's really what it's all about! They understand why it's important to BE a fashion doll collector!

I have to admit to being a collector of so many I won't try to count them.   My current passion is Horsman's Vita.   I have done some designs for them and I hope that will continue.   I would paint and design for Vita in my own collection either way.   I have a few "hybrids", heads that are enjoying the more poseable bodies.   I prefer 16 inch ladies but I have my share of smaller ones too.   Addicts don't need a reason to want something   .

I know I am not alone.

I love Poppy Parker, but I don't have one. I have one Momoko, which I love, and one J  Doll, which I love.  I have several NU Face Integrity girls, Erin, Colette.  They are very pretty.

OMG, Rebecca...that is horrible.  Was there no way to recover your stolen collection?

Comment by Terri Gold on March 1, 2013 at 9:34pm

Rebecca: That is terrible to have had dolls stolen. I can't imagine what that must feel like. Was it a long time ago?

Regarding the NuMood dolls, they can wear Antointte and Cami clothes, too. Even some of the Gene Marshall fashions will fit although the proportions are iffy with the latter. I agree that the NuMood clothes are pricey.

Constance: I like the idea of displaying a doll with the framed fashion. She is lovely and I am fond of mine as well. Which dolls make up the majority of your collection? The Silkies? The Poppys?

And, I would be remiss if I didn't post a picture of my second most favorite Silkstone, "Secretary!"  I love Barbie and have quite a lot of them! Vintage from my childhood, playline, collector dolls, and, of course, Silkstones!

This was my second Momoko (I bought one nude on ebay, then got this girl through a dealer in Hong Kong, brand spanking new!) and Annz. Annz is an elusive doll. They must not have made very many of them as they're hard to come by. This one I bought nude from ebay. I did finally acquire the full gift set for this doll "Swallow Air Line" and the two of them now keep each other company in the doll cabinet!

This is my first Poppy Parker doll, Coney Island Saturdays. I bought her on "clearance" from Marl & B's web site and when she arrived, I stuck her in the Barbie room where she languished for a few months. Then, one day, I took her out of the box, and Boy! Oh! Boy! I was bitten by the Poppy bug!
