Excuse the quality, I used my iPad! Also excuse the state of Mia's wig, it needs a good stylin'. One day I might get back into it... I got very discouraged by the rooting... And the expense!

Comment by Mary Beth Jennings yesterday @Andy Glad I could give you a lift! We doll lovers are here to support each other!
Comment by andy sorensen yesterday @marybeth...to funny! you made me have such a happy memory with your story! thanks so much, i needed it this week!
Comment by Mary Beth Jennings yesterday I didn't have a camping play set, so I made a tent out of one of my dad's old undershirts and some sticks. I'd set it up outside with my barbies and their horses, sometimes I'd put them in sleeping bags inside the tent and leave them out there all night!
Comment by andy sorensen on Wednesday omg marybeth! my barbies used to go mountain climbing up the stairs at grandmas house when i was a kid! my cousins had the ENTIRE camping set for barbie from the 80's! such fun memories....i also remember using parachute from time to time, no bungee jumping tho!

Comment by Mary Beth Jennings on Wednesday @Terri Yes, I really did have my dolls go bungee jumping! I tied a bunch of rubber bands together to make the rope, and I fastened one end to the stair railing and the other to my barbies' feet. I also had them go mountain climbing up the stairs! My barbies were very adventurous.
Comment by Patty Hagar on Tuesday she didn't wow me either I won't be getting her.

@Terri I agree about Jason. I remember the day I saw he had designed the Michelle Obama's gown that we would have him for much longer designing for our dolls :(
Comment by Nan Hawkins on Tuesday It's in very poor taste. The subject matter isn't appropriate for a doll or just about any other product.
Comment by Lisa Neault on Tuesday I was a little taken back when I saw the dolls' head comes off to be exchanged for the hideous one with brown hair and face mask. I was also confused why this would be debuted on mother's day???i will not be adding her to my collection because it looks like an overdone exaggeration of Joan, especially the blonde hair? Joan was known for having brown hair, I thought.
I have many thoughts on the doll, the clothing was beautiful, and the switching out of the head system is very cool. I don't know if I would have chosen this particular character to debut the head switcher- roo system.Like Mary Beth, I was a little horrified that they would pick Joan Crawford to debut-- on mother's day of all things. This might have sounded good in the board room...but...???
I hope they do the new head switching system on other dolls, it would be very useful and is quite ingenious on another note.
