Most of my collection is on those plastic garage shelving units. Not aesthetically pleasing, but I've got some ideas about how I would like to alter them to be ... well, prettier and more accessible. Need to sell a good many of my stuff to tame my collection - so that I can see what I have from what I don't. Then I will see how I can create fabric backdrops that would between the plastic posts. Not sure how I would run lighting under the shelf bottoms/ceilings to the floor below can have light. Will need something to go over the slatted floors too.
Just musing here. Will add more as the project unfolds.
Thanks, Catherine, for sharing your friend's incredible doll diorama display.

Good luck with your endeavours! I'm sure you will find lot's of health here. Looking forward to see how you get on :)
Permalink Reply by Barbara E on January 7, 2012 at 22:53 If I can be as so bold to add to your musings, I have shelving too, that I use as the base for my dioramas. In the past I have (albeit badly) attached foam board to the back of a shelf level to create a temporary wall for it. It works because then you can just repaper or redecorate the wall as I see fit. I hope that helps.
