Hi I am new here and found doll observers on Pinterest...my name is Lisa and I live in Va. My blog is http://theonesixthscaledollhouse.blogspot.com which is mainly about the dolls, my projects and the display of Barbietown as I jokingly refer to how my dollroom has been taken over...the room is quite small, so I display the dolltown near the dollhouse, which is to the left. McDonald's is up top, and the two faux storefronts cover the drawers of the dresser the mcdonald's sits on. Faux brick wall hides my rement storage on the shelves, which has more dioramas/room scenes and my prop stashes..to the left of the dollhouse is Mickey's bakery.....I used black posterboard for the road, home depot contractor tiles for sidewalks, fake trees for greenery, and so on.

Here are some new pics of Barbietown. I decided the Silkstones were not getting enough attention, so I took them shopping and kept the Fashion Royalty divas out of the pics. More can be seen on my blog

Walking suit is one of my favorites from 2012, I missed out on the club doll and party dress. I love her haughty look- so vintage and reminds me of how the women dressed in the early 60's.
Here is in the pink, Club doll from 2010? and Joan from the Mad Men dolls, as well as Market Day.
Here are a couple of Basics to use for what I refer to as 'filler people' in the town. Also a doll who has character, our town 'nerd' who seems to be striking up a conversation with Market Day! I love dolls that look like 'real' characters to mix with the fashion dolls, and it sparks a natural storyline. yep, he is the town 'nerd' but also a computer whiz....
I updated the window from Christmas and used those greenery pots from Michaels to give it more depth. Been wanting to revamp this window for some time.
Hope you have enjoyed the pics! Sorry I have not posted newer pics of the town!~Lisa

Hi Lisa! Your town looks fantastic!! The Silkies look very at home there at the boutique and the window display looks very inviting!!

Keep up the great work and be sure to update us with your progress!
Permalink Reply by Lisa Neault on March 30, 2013 at 11:49 Thank you Simon! I am sorry I haven't been here as much as I would have liked to. I have been busy with the ebay store and my husband's business in the office. work work and no doll play makes for a dull dolly buddy!
I have posted a new thread on some of my other projects in the works- my Victorian genre part of my collection with links, lots of eye candy!
I will try and update the dolly town thread here with more photos.
