As you all know I love fashion dolls but I also am absolutely in love with realistic accessories, furniture and environments for my dolls too! Over the last few weeks I have been accumulating some playscale dolls and bits and bobs for them to 'live in'. One of these consists of a very cheap Barbie 'my house' I picked up on eBay. The plan is to mash it up into a much more realistic backdrop for dolls. In this thread I will document how i get on!

Before

After with a bit of silver paint, although not as perfect as I had hoped!

With doll in situ!

Thanks Marilyn!

Yes I agree. The 1/4 scale market is rather small accessory wise. Have you seen the Urban Vita stuff? Amazing furniuture and bits and peices. They are adding to the line righ now too! http://www.horsmanltd.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=67.

I have, Simon.  In fact, I already own two of the white chairs and absolutely love them.  I have really an excessive amount of props, but you know how it is.  You spot something and think it is just perfect for a doll ... and sometimes its just a tiny bit 'off' in scale.  But I keep looking!    We have a store in the US called Big Lots and I found these little chairs there yesterday.  I really didn't 'need' them, but they fit the dolls so nicely that they managed to come home with me.

Well done you! These are great :) I wish we had that store here in the UK !!

Simon, I think you Brits have T.J. Maxx stores now, don't you?  You might check there if there is one nearby.  I've found a lot of doll stuff at T.J.'s in the US.

A little paint can add so much detail and realism.  This is great!
