As many of you, I do too like to have more realistic stuff for my dioramas.

Last weekend I got a Lalaloopsy couch to see if I could "transform it" to work with my fashion dolls.

Above is the original couch. All made out of plastic. Below part of it covered with fabric that I glued on. The front of the arms are cardstock covered with fabric. I also used 4 wooden pegs for legs adding a little  bit of more height to the couch. I didn't take pictures of the back and bottom which are also covered with white fabric. On the bottom, to add a leveled surface, I added cardstock and then glued the wooden pegs on.

The final product: For scale purposes, here is Poppy to give you and idea of size:

I'm very happy with the results!

Have a nice day,

Nilsa

Brill! What a transformation! To look @ it now,one would never know it's a plastic play toy!

thanks Tracey!

I like the end results.

Yes, Nilsa, you did a very good job fitting the fabric with trim and pleats and everything. It looks great.

thanks a bunch, Valerie. I did have fun working on this project. The best part was to find everything that I needed right here at home .

Here is a quick and simple plastic transformation. I was in the checkout at Wal-Mart one day and saw these chewing gum containers. As soon as I spotted it my first thought was "OOooo this could make a cool looking trash can for the dolls."

So I grabbed one and as soon as I got home tossed the gum in a ziplock bag then removed the label that was wrapped around the container. I then took a white plastic bag and cut a good size rectangular piece from it. I then fold the rectangle in half and used scotch tape to seal the sides. I placed my tiny trash bag into the container and that was it!

My avid cook Krystal now has a trash can for her kitchen.....
