Plastic Transformations... add yours here

 

As many of you, I do too like to have more realistic stuff for my dioramas.

Last weekend I got a Lalaloopsy couch to see if I could "transform it" to work with my fashion dolls.

Above is the original couch. All made out of plastic. Below part of it covered with fabric that I glued on. The front of the arms are cardstock covered with fabric. I also used 4 wooden pegs for legs adding a little  bit of more height to the couch. I didn't take pictures of the back and bottom which are also covered with white fabric. On the bottom, to add a leveled surface, I added cardstock and then glued the wooden pegs on.

The final product: For scale purposes, here is Poppy to give you and idea of size:

oh you could be happy! you did an excellent transformation , I would not be to keen about the original either, I love the shape though, round and soft.  the "Vichy Fabric"gives fresh and summery look

The fabric covered couch is excellent, Nilsa!

I will add a few pictures of some plastic transformed furniture I made for my niece.

I took a sectioned box that was supposed to be for keeping jewelry, etc. and put it up on its side and covered one section with plastic tiles (Crystaline.com) and one section with half of a pocket mirror to make a "wall unit"

And you can see a low-down pink and brown seat, it is two pieces of plastic from a multi package of toothbrushes fit together and covered in felt.

In the next photo you can see a dog sitting on it and another chair made from a plastic bottle bottom cut on a curve, covered with felt and filled in for the seat with a round crocheted cushion.

And now a table that was a plastic box upside down and I cut out some sections and tried to smooth the edges of the plastic with filing/sanding, and the top is covered with the Crystaline tiles.
