Since this is related to hair style, I considered to post it here.

I received this Skipper from a good friend from Spain. Here are the "before" photos:

I gave her a bath and a reroot.

I'm an amateur re-rooter, so I don't think this is the best that Skipper could look but I'm happy with her.

I ran out of hair and then I used hair donated by an old Barbie so she has 2 tones that turned out good.

Here are the "after" photos:

Thanks everyone for taking the time of looking at my photos :)

A DIY rooting tool!! This is a CRAZY GOOD idea, Tracie!!  Thanks for the tip!

I have read somewhere that you can use an embroidery needle in certain sizes for certain size doll heads, clip part of the "eye" of the needle creating a "forked end" with metal cutters and insert the sharp-needle end into a pencil with full eraser to act as a rerooting tool-the "forked" end is sticking out of the end of the pencil eraser.  This method requires the use of glue inside the head since there are no knots.  I hope that made sense! lol,  I'm going to try that method,  there was a tutorial I found somewhere.

Tracie, first, thanks for your comment. I really appreciate it.
I have done 1 silkstone, 1 Kelly doll, 1 mod face Barbie, 2 parcial reroots to other older Barbies and the last one was Skipper.

I like these two methods:

I want to buy a re-rooting tool (www.dollyhair.com/reroottool.htm) to see if it is easier than just the needle and the pliers that I have.

Bye,

Nilsa
