I think so too, Jael.
He has a friend that's state-side, and she sent me a link to the Russian doll-lovers site that he shows some of his very first attempts on. It's really cool to see his progression from struggling newbie to repaint master!
I think he's pretty darned awesome. Just color me a shameless fan-girl.

Comment by divafan on February 7, 2013 at 18:34 I guess these qualify as my current holy grails. Lady Thriller Pierre, I think I will have at some point. I truly believe that all I have to be is patient, and I will find him.
But as far as Red Riding Hood Yuri and Wild Wolf Kumi are concerned, there is really almost no hope. Even nude, these girls can sell for more than $500 each. They are LE 400, and were exclusives to the Japanese magazine DollyStyle. They have the Lilith/Eden sculpt.
And just forget about finding them for any less than a small fortune NRFB. Not gonna happen. (Unless you get really lucky!)
So I may do what I have done with other holy grails that I felt I had no chance of finding - make my own. I have a faux-Venus Eugenia in process as I write this, and this past year I added Faux-Go Green Luchia to my collection. Luchia was LE 9 and was given out as prizes at the 2011 FR Convention. Luchia (v 1.0) is one of my favorite sculpts, and I wanted her very badly. Even though it was my first convention, and I'd been collecting less than a year, I managed to come close to winning her in the Travel Doll competition. But coming close doesn't count in dolls! So I took a Go North Luchia and had her rerooted in platinum, with a ponytail, and had her makeup tweaked (they share the same screening -- just a slightly different palette) and I have the girl of my dreams!

This turned into a bit more than a "comment." I should have used it to update my blog!
