It was a poor little Gene Pin-Up. The deleting part is easy, it's the part that comes after that I'm avoiding.
Comment by Jael Cayemitte on February 14, 2013 at 19:13 Ha ha! Which Gene is it, Deb?? Actually you're the braver one because I have yet to "delete" a dolls face! I will one day, though!

I do hope you decide to give repainting a try, Jael. You're braver than me...I "deleted" the face of a Gene doll to give it a try, but have never quite gotten around to the painting portion. I restructured the face (browbone, cheekbones & nose), then put the project aside.
Hey! Wanna buy a faceless Gene CHEAP?!
Comment by Jael Cayemitte on February 14, 2013 at 16:23 Thank you so much for sharing the link Deb!! WOW!!! view the progression was awe inspiring...thanks again!

@Jael - Here's Mar's Flickr link...http://www.flickr.com/photos/57665358@N03/8445028557/
...and here's the Russian doll site that his friend (and business Manager), Elena, sent me...http://forum.dollplanet.ru/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5028&sid=81...
You'll want to start at the beginning (page 1) but the link I attached begins with a lovely Nadia, then one of his frustrations, which he took out on the model in question with spotsspotsspots all over!
Even the Masters get "writers block"! This should provide you with LOADS of inspiration, my dearest Jael. I don't think Mar Sensei would mind me sharing.
I just love him to death. In case it wasn't painfully obvious.
@Lisa - Girl, your ink attempts are AWESOMESAUCE!!! I never would've thought to use nail appliques (derp), they're the perfect scale! Now you've got ME inspired!
You and your Daughter are so cute!!!
OMG, she looks so much like a young friend of mine, it's uncanny. If I had to choose a Mini Me, it would no doubt be Park's (and Wil) Lisbeth: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8093/8367744984_700aa59ab1.jpg
The only difference between us is my hair is gray. I even have the same long forelock, which I just now realized. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Uj0lRAg4VPI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAA...
(be afraid, be very afraid)
Comment by Jael Cayemitte on February 14, 2013 at 13:40 OOOO, Deb do you you still have the link? Thanks for sharing that bit , that is so inspiring! Sometimes I think about getting into repaints...

Question for you Deb? Who is your mini me doll? Do you have one? one that looks like you or that you wished you looked like? I have to have a new mini me in fashion royalty dolls now that I am here...I had my #6 silkstone for years as my mini me. My friend said Dania looks like a good mini me for me... Ill post a picture of her with glasses later to see what you think>>

LOVE IT !! Deb she is awesome..I just started applying tats to my girls!! Here she is! I practiced on a fashionista! No comparison with hand painting i know but I thought she came out pretty good. I used nail appliques and kids tattoos...Practicing so I can do more of my other girls I am a biker chick at heart!! LOL
