220762190855  The hair is trashed, and it does not say daisy, should a daisy doll be stamped with the worlds mary quaint? If not this doll is a clone.

Can you plz put the link directly? Would be much easier for us than go and search for the item. :)

I will try, but you can copy the number and put that in the search and you will go right there, someone in our

group is at work and can't see the url, I am not sure this will work either.

doll

There are too many of those % signs in the url, so I don't it will be valid, ok it works for me

It's a Daisy indeed, Daisy's aren't marked with their name or the Mary Quant name, they're marked with Model Toys Ltd Hong Kong, just like this doll :)

Thanks it seems odd Mary quant would not want her name of the doll. It would give her more name boosting power. I had never heard of her I found the dolls online.
I hadn't heard of her before I saw Daisy online either, but I think she was quite famous and she actually made Daisy because she already was an established fashion designer, not the other way around...
Even so if you consider how bob mackie hams his barbies up.

I think it is Havoc as I don't think Daisy came with red hair. Model Toys is correct, as is Flair Toys - they weren't ever stamped Mary Quant, as far as I know. The hair is REALLY hard, if not impossible to fix on these dolls....

Mary Quant is REALLY famous - she 'invented' the mini skirt and was responsible for a lot of the mod fashion trends. I'm surprised you hadn't heard of her.

No, but I was kind of young in the 60's, but I looked at my saves of Havoc and the face doesn't match, but yes the hair could have been cut or dyed even.

I just looked her up - the red head is rare - I've never seen one in 15 years of doll collecting / dealing! I've had a fair few daisys pass through my hands - but some of the later ones must be rare - I know some go for a lot, the brunettes usually do, if the hair is good, which is rare.
