I thought it might be fun to have a topic where those of us who play mostly with the 16" size doll could talk about outfits/patterns we like.

I made an outfit for Chinese New Year (tomorrow in the US -- already there in China!).  It is being modeled by  Asia who is an Urban Vita Expressions doll wearing one of her face plates that was painted by Stacy Leigh.  The pattern is made by Tamara Casey for her "Designs By Jude" line of patterns.  It is very much like an outfit that was originally produced by Madam Alexander for the Alex doll ( I don't remember the name right now ... something about Paris!).   I love this fabric because the scale is so perfect for the 16" size!  I really need to make more outfits as I bought it in ever color!

I love the 16" line as  well. Tamara's patterns are great and so easy to work with. I just got over a Model Muse craze and am now again back to Tyler. I do love Emme and have just finished a pattern from Designs by Jude. I look forward to seeing more of your dolls and share mine.

Kate I'm looking forward to seeing your Emme coat.  I have a couple of patterns for her, but have yet to sew them.  I liked her, but was sorry she was never articulated as the other dolls were.  I find I don't play with her much because of that.

I finally completed a dress that was originally from a pattern by Randall Craig for Gene.  I had made it for Gene a liked it so much that I altered the pattern a bit to make it fit ( I HOPED) Vita.  It worked out well.  Now I thinking of trying another fabric and possibly making a long skirt.

Gorgeous!

Thanks, Deborah!

your dress is lovely!!!!!

*blush* ... Thanks, Nilsa!

you did an exquisite job! and I so love your choice of colors!

Thanks, Lilly!  I had the fabric laying around for ages (in my GIANT fabric stash ) and finally found a use for it.  The hat is borrowed from a Brenda Starr outfit, and the chunky bracelet is one I made from tiny pony-tail holders that I found.  When you pull out the rubber gripper teeth that were inside the plastic, it is just the right size for a fashion doll wrist!

I always love the recycling treasure hee hee ,very resourceful
