all the sewing/kniting is well done as we place our heart in it

this is what my dear grand-Ma told me when she patiently taught me how to crochet (not an easy task...as I am a lefty and she was not !!)

I sew with a little simple machine and a serger. but of course lot has to be done by hands. I knit and crochet, this is my winter pleasure :) but for this as well I am very basic, I knitted the little gardigant Lilly is waring on the group icon pic.

You have talent.  Both of my dresses are tricot and not as well done as yours.  Did you hand sew or machine?

Mercedes spent a full week in Sevilla, Spain. whan she came back she asked lilly to do a Sevillan dress for her

I made this dress with some fine jersey remnants. and it was not such a good idea, as the fabric even light weigh is still to heavy for her size.

I did not us a pattern for this one, I made a "toile" and added as much ruffle as I could.

I sew the black lace before sewing the ruffles to the skirt/sleeves.

I used different parts of the same fabric I have cut in strips

the fringes happened just to be the right color in the right time

Marie (Simply Gene) is very into the 50's era and love those retro dresses, so when I went through the Haute doll Mag (July/August 2009) free patterns from Randall Craig. I was indeed very inspired.
I used a small printed  light cotton.

underneath Marie is waring a petticoat in plain white cotton /lace. she's presenting her new dress in front of the original HD article.

here  I used a coordinated cotton, flowers being more numerous on the skirt. the collar/cuff are in plain white cotton.

I used a small printed cotton accented with dark blue collar/cuff and belt.
