I'm trying to decorate my dollhouse full of Pams, but it's só hard. I love regular dollhouse stuff but it's all made for a 1:12 scale, whereas 6" dolls are, what, 1:10? They're slightly too big for regular dollhouse furniture. It's not impossible, but it's not pretty either.

I own a Pippa kitchen which is okay, but I want more. I'm desperately looking for a fitting bed. If I can't find one soon I swear I'll make one myself. Also I'm looking for pretty sofas for the living room set... Barbie sofas are always so 'pink and plastic', I like it when stuff looks real. That's why I think the Pippa kitchen is just 'okay': it's a typical doll's kitchen and it doesn't look real at all.

Does anyone have any tips? Where do you get your furniture and accessories?

Oh, by the way, there were a bedroom set and a dressing table in the Pamela Love collection, but I've never seen them in stores in the nineties and I haven't come across them on eBay as yet either. I'll keep looking, I SO hope I'll own a genuine Pam bed one day.

Ooh the Pamela sets look wonderful! I love the look of the house, have you never seen any of these sets?
Nope. But there's lots of Pam stuff that I could only drool over in the catalogue, because they weren't to be found in stores. Like the Monte Carlo dolls I just won from a Spanish auction... those were never sold in the Netherlands as far as I know. I'm still hoping some of this stuff will turn up some day, wherever it may be :P

Just this afternoon I was whining here that I couldn't find fitting furniture for my dolls' dollhouse, that either everything was too big (Barbie) or too small (1:12 dollhouse scale) unless I could find Pippa and Dawn stuff online. I really didn't want to spend too much money on the stuff and besides, I didn't think the Pippa and Dawn stuff looked too good.

So, I decided to try and make a sofa myself. I gotta say, I've tried before, but it never worked out well. I've tried covering small cardboard boxes in fabric, but those attempts never turned out very well. So when I went out to get my groceries at the supermarket, I was looking around like a magpie, searching for any usable material to build my own sofa, haha.

So, here you go. Made out of sponges, glue and a few pins because the glue didn't hold very well: my own, totally hip, comfortably soft and extremely cheap, sponge sofa.

I couldn't be happier right now!! I'm buying another pack of sponges tomorrow to complete the set!

I see the sofa, very cool.
Thanks :D

Crap, now I just found this furniture set for Sarah Louise, who has the exact same body as Pamela.

Should I get it? I'd probably only use the table though, the rest just looks too plastic-y...

I'll think about it. It ends tonight.

I think that set is cute. You won't know until you put the dolls in it. I don't go for any furniture, but I did want to buy a Barbie Yellow 70's Camper, but I got outbid. I prefer to have the doll just trying on outfits or maybe posed on a background, but I like to look at the scenes people make. I would like a bar, night club or disco set up, but again there is budget to consider. If one gets a house you need more items, a car, a garage, a pool. You more you get the more you need to get. This is because there is the tendency to add on to something once you get it. I saw a very elaborate house set up on  You Tube.
Yeah. Right now I'm focusing on the living room. I already had a tv-set and two small picture frames, but that's it. Now I have my sponge sofa :P (I'll go out to get another set of sponges this afternoon) and the paper tablecloth I used as wallpaper, which was all very cheap. :)

I just bought these Sarah Louise sets. They probably fit my big Ocean Toys' dolls' bums better than Pippa's stuff :)

Oh they look cool, congrats!

Thanks. I've seen them on eBay often, but always more expensive than they were now. And they're sold by the same seller, which saves shipping cost :). At first I thought the lounge set was too pink and doll-ish hehe, but then I realized the authentic Pam furniture is even more pink and doll-ish, so since my sponge sofas aren't holding up very well lol, I decided to just go for it ;)

Even broker than broke now though. :o

I wanna have this bed:

It's 4 inches bigger than Pamela but I figured it's quite possible, and it's so darn pretty!!
