Online finds

What do you look for when you're buying dolls online? Do you prefer NRFB or in need of some TLC, or both?

 

I personally started out buying all the Pamela Love dolls (and other Ocean Toys dolls) I could find. I ended up with loads and loads of bodies and heads to use, but most of the heads have dry, tangled hair. When I found out that even Pamelas show up on eBay NRFB, if you look hard enough, I focused all my attention on those dolls. I don't have a lot of money to spend as a student, and buying all the dolls I can find is a dream for the future :P. For the moment I have more than enough old dolls to reroot and restyle, so I try (:P) to only buy dolls MIB right now.

That is nice, but too fansy for this doll. I am thinking of basic dress, her hair is blond. ebay item number. I just thought I would post in case anyone is into selling or trading things. The knit stuff often looks too heavy on the doll, unless it is a micro knit fabric. That red dress is reasonably priced however.

But tbh, they're very easy to make tube dresses... If I were you I'd find a cute fabric and make one of those myself :)

Thanks I just bought one of those dresses. I would have never found them. I was kind of worried it was a frankinstein doll, but the body I got
is an upgrade from the body it would have come with.

I just searched for 'dawn handmade' and ignored all the knit stuff lol :D

Item number  140476967729, a mod dress with a peace sign, would look good on this doll.  I see there are more of them left. I made a tube dress once, but the stichting  was uneven, so it looked bad.
