Here's what I used to drool over as a kid and I'm drooling over it again now :P
The first catalogue in pink:
Then there was a white, more extended catalogue.
However, I found out only one week ago (!) that there were at least two more series of Pams that were not included in the catalogues. They were 'New York' and a series of little indian girls, of which I don't know the name. These last girls were shown on the box as white, but they were sold as black. I've only seen one of these in someone's collection and I'm hella jealous :P.
Oops, I just noticed I missed a page in the pink catalogue. Here it is.
They are aren't they? I wish I had one of those with black hair (and black skin!), cause I do have Pams with those faces (all the Pams that were sold before they were taken out of stores, had this head mold), but they're all blondes (2 different shades) or brunettes.
Still hope to get my hands on one of those indian girls one day. Hey, who knows.. A week ago I said "I still hope to get my hands on one of those Monte Carlo Pams one day", and two days later 2 of them showed up online for €1 each :P
I've learned to never stop dreaming! My wishlist from my childhood is still the same, I still want the same dolls, only now I can actually find and buy them... If I'm lucky :)
This is great! I had never seen these catalogs before. I guess that Pamela Love is the small version of the Steffi Love (Barbie sized) doll. I learned about Steffi Love a while ago from an Internet friend who lives in Suriname but has relatives in the Netherlands. His enthusiasm was contagious, and now I have 3 Steffi Love dolls in my collection. I am thrilled to learn more about Pamela Love and to see the elaborate costumes they made for her back then.
