For some it may seem far too soon to be thinking about Christmas (unless, like me, it is never too soon to be thinking about the festive season!). However there is a rational behind my thinking! As you know the winning theme contest pic now features on the main page of our community, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages. So by the time the pic has been voted for and a winner announced it would seem most odd to see a Christmas photo in February! Much better to see it for the month of December!!
So, dear members, do you see where I'm coming from? Good, that's settled then; the theme for October is... Season's Greetings! A theme intended to celebrate all that is good about the season to be jolly, and all in dolly form to boot!
The winning photo voted by members will now win a whopping $50 PRIZE!! Plus the winning pic will spend a month featured on our front page and be the public header for our Twitter & Facebook Fan Page too!
The 'rules' of the theme photo competition are very simple:
Tags: Christmas, October, Seasons greetings, contest, fashion doll, theme

Oh, hell to the YEAH!
You are speaking my language. At one time, I had 30 trees on display in my house (but then I 'increased my dosage').
I am SO in. I can't wait to pull my trees out of storage early!! DH is going to think I've finally gone starkers.
What an awesome idea, Simon. You rule!
Permalink Reply by Nilsa M. Donelan on October 11, 2012 at 16:08 Deb, I will imagine that those were "small" trees, because I cannot imagine all those 30 on display, LOL.

Dear Nilsa...the scary thing is that most of them took up a considerable amount of space in my house. When I dive into something I like, I do tend to obsess a bit.
The tallest tree resides in my sun room, and is 10' tall, with well over a thousand ornaments on it. The smallest was 3" tall and hot pink. In between was 1 6' live tree decorated in retro-style with big, fat, primary-colored opaque c7 bulb strands, my Grandma's ornaments dating back to the 40's and silver icicles. That was the last time I decorated with icicles since those and kittehs and litter boxes do NOT go together.
I also had a green 8' tree, a white 7' tree, 3 "Gatlinburg" trees in a grouping of 1', 2' and 3', 2 silver tinsel trees from the 60s, 2 fluffy, white 2' trees decorated in all blue and all red respectively, a 5' white corner tree, blue trees, purple trees, red trees, pink trees, gold trees, silver trees, fiber optic trees, pre-lit trees, trees in urns, a Gene tree, a Barbie tree, metal trees, wire trees, living trees outside (cedars) decorated with exterior lights and unbreakable ornaments....and on and on.
See why I upped my dosage?

OH! I forgot about my little black tree.
*pops more meds*

You have a Christmas jungle!!
Mine... well it is more of a desert. One 7' tree and the rest are minis and Barbie size.
