Jem And The Holograms

Information

Jem And The Holograms

In 1986 Hasbro released, what for me, is the best doll collection ever; Jem! There were good Girls (Jem & The Hologams) and Bad Girls (The Misfits), a cartoon and they even came with their own casette tape of music. What else could you possibly ask for?

And it was Glitter Beach Jazzie. I still have the bikini from that doll, but the fabric is really weird. It doesn't stretch at all. I don't even really like the suit. Then I also got a Takara doll called sun tan Ellie, that was dressed in the same type of swim suit, but a yellow one piece and the quality quite a bit better. It was sort of like all the companies were trying to imitate each other to out sell each other.

I remember Maxie. I totally freaked out, because they stopped making Jems, so I never bought any Maxie's, but I bought one Jazzie. Jazzie was made by Mattel and it was like Maxie, but in the end, I decided I did not like Jazzie and I gave her away. So, I did not buy any dolls for a few years, then I switiched to Barbies in the early 90's.

Got myself my first ever Maxie! Yey! I know it's like half Jem related but I didn't know where to post this. :)) Now I should really get a Jem doll. Wishing for Erica or Shana.
