Jem And The Holograms

Jem And The Holograms

In 1986 Hasbro released, what for me, is the best doll collection ever; Jem! There were good Girls (Jem & The Hologams) and Bad Girls (The Misfits), a cartoon and they even came with their own casette tape of music. What else could you possibly ask for?

I have the DVD's too and some rather grainy copies of the rest of the show recorded from TV. I hope they re-release them too

I bought the dvds, but they refused to release the last season. I am hoping for a reissue of the dvds to make them complete.

I am going to buy that doll, and post a photo on my flickr account with my Jems. The collection is incomplete, because I traded away some of the outfits, I did not like as much to get an Aja doll. This was before there was an ebay. I did not like the jumpsuits for Jem, because they slipped down, and Jem was flashing like Girls Gone Wild. I wish I had kept it more complete now, because I later was able to get another Aja at a doll show, but panicked, I would never have Aja and Shana, because by the time I started shopping, they were totally gone from stores. But, if you want to see my Jem Collection there is a link to my flickr on my profile right here and I have a set for Barbie and a set for Jems.

I know why I never noticed slash n color barbie looked like Glitter n Gold Jem. When the hair is in the braid, the colors don't like prominent. I may have seen it in the store and passed on it, because the face is not unusually or interesting.

The worse is the people who find a barbie in goodwill that says 1966, and they think they have a vintage doll and they try to sell it for couple 100 dollars, but the stamp of 1966 was used up until the mid 90's when they redesigned the body.

Ditto, closed pink closed lips looked the best.

I personally didn't care that much for the Smiling Jems and prefer her with the Pink makeup. I wish they would remake Jem as she could be so cool!

No there is no 2nd issue Glitter N Gold doll, I think they just mean the 2nd year Jem doll. You do have to watch out for the crazy stuff people think are rare but are not
