I found a doll that is on ebay for ID, that looks like the one I called the world's ugliest clone and has the same marks. Please look at item number 110622201073.

If there was some kind of metal instead Maddie Mod, then that would be right because the metal has broken through the foot, but it could be clone of Maddie Mod. I wish someone else would post unknown dolls to this group. It's not supposted to be a group where I am the only one posting the dolls for other people to ID. Anyone can post a doll for ID. I have been doing some ID on Flickr and I am getting much better at it.

About the doll, I had marked as the world's ugliest clone, she is looking like a maddie mod doll to me now. Maddie Mod has nice clothes, but the expression on the doll's face looks really off to me. It makes me think the doll is indeed mad or insane. However, when you spend time with a doll you can grow to love a look, that you at first did not like. I still have this doll in my junky doll box.

This doll came from a thrift store. I know she is early 90's.

I have another idea, maybe this is a scented doll? I cut off the hair, but the smell is in the plastic. I can only handle the doll if I wear a dust mask. The smell is so strong even a ziplock freezer bag can not contain the smell. I looked up Mattel scented dolls, but could not find anything like that. The smell is kind of like baby powder but much stronger.

But, I had known about the smell, I would have passed it up and kept looking.

That's ok with me, I also collect anime dolls, but it does have Mattel stamp. I have to either reroot or get a wig, and it's not easy to find a wig, that matches the original hair, but overall, I like the style of the face.

I got a doll from Korea, it could be Barbie, but I don't have access to the book Barbie in Japan. I can't look up the doll. I posted about the doll on the Barbie forum, that she is need of total reroot, now the seller has offered to take her back. I don't know what to do. I would be helpful if someone can look her up in an Asian Barbie book. I am allergic to the hair which was washed in fabric softener, that is scented. I soaked the hair in baking soda and the smell would not come out, at all. I keep smelling the hair to see if the smell is going away, and it give an allergy attack each time I test smell to see if I am getting any improvement. This is a doll in need of serious help. Sorry the photo posted too big, I have to resize it.
