I use fabri-tac glue. It's thick so doesn't leak through fabric as much as other glues do and it grabs really quickly so you don't have to hold the piece for so long. Also when you put the glue on a piece of fabric, spread it with your finger and wait a few seconds (so it dries a bit) then when you stick the pieces together you will most likely not have any show-through.

That's a great idea Anne, loving your pictures!. What kind of glue do you use? I've tried fabric glue in the past and I had trouble with it showing through, or using less it wouldn't stick.

I did cheat a tiny bit on the jacket. When I work in 1:9 scale (8"dolls) they are too small to sew everything without adding a lot of bulk. So some things are faked. The collar and lapels are clever folding and gluing of scraps. The basic design is pretty easy though. Your work is lovely so I am sure you won't have a problem.

thanks, i usually don"t use patterns (iv'e always preferred to "color outside the lines" but i would love that jacket pattern, as i have problems trying to make them...

I made another suit today. This one was even more carefully tailored. I will have to start making new pattern so I can alter them before I sew. There is way to much extra fabric with the commercial ones.
