I got the idea from a tutorial on My Froggy Stuff.  It's a blog about making doll accessories from recycled and everyday household stuff.  My girls ADORE it.  It was a HUGE resource when we were building the Barbie house.

And I also made the shoes...  they made me cuss a lot...

Here's an outfit I made for my 16inch girls. It's basically different sized tubes. The jeans are basically footless stockings, and not whole pants. The sweater is made from a sleeve of an old shirt.
