I got my Millenium Ball Tyler on EBay, but she was nude. I tried several times to buy her outfit on eBay, but always get outbid... So I went and got me some silver lame and made my own!It was frustrating! And it's not perfect. But from a distant…Read More

Comment by Kate Fosk on February 5, 2012 at 15:28 Oh no, reminds me of buying clothes which come with a warning...not to be worn with lighter clothing or to used sit on light upholstery when damp. Sounds very frustrating after all your work.
Buttons.

I found them on ebay UK), they are 4mm and quite tiny with two holes. Not much colour variation, I bought pearl as I am making a shirt. I think the 6mm would have worked as well and there were more colours in that size.

I'll post a photo in a moment so you can see the size.
Comment by Deborah Steinmetz on February 5, 2012 at 15:08 BTW I realized I haven't uploaded anything recently. This outfit was such a headache! I had originally intended for there to be brown leggings with the top, but after spending all that time sewing them they ended up STAINING the legs of my doll! (thankfully I was able to get 98% of the color off the doll, and I was able to remove the excess dye from the leggings too. BUT I did not want to sell them for fear of them staining my customers doll!) So I can up with this cute faux leather mini skirt instead!
Comment by Deborah Steinmetz on February 5, 2012 at 15:04 Hi Kate! I was wondering what size buttons you bought and where you found them? I've been looking all over for buttons but the ones in the stores don't seem small enough.
Comment by Kate Fosk on February 5, 2012 at 8:51 Thank you!
I just bought some doll sized buttons (so tiny, so cute!) so that's for the next design.
It's lovely to share my projects here.
That's really cute. I like the colors.
Comment by Deborah Steinmetz on February 3, 2012 at 19:09 Kate that is super cute! And great idea using the band from your top!
this is just excellent!! great idea to use the "ready to be done" it is lovely. I like the colors and adore that big bow on the side!!
Comment by Kate Fosk on February 3, 2012 at 18:32 I think this is a High School Musical Doll...but I'm not sure.
I made her outfit from the band around one of my old summer tops..so the braid and stitching were already in place.
I was really glad that this outfit did not take me months to do like the last one!
