Have you had the opportunity to "walk"into the Valentino' s virtual museum?

you have to install the program in your computer and then...let the magic begins!
as I spend hours in this museum I think it would be just fair to share it with you.
I hope you will enjoy this piece of dream
Comment by Marilyn Allen on January 22, 2012 at 17:26 @Anne Field, what a good job you did on your Steampunk lady! I'm looking forward to seeing her companions as you add to this line.
Comment by Anne Field on January 18, 2012 at 13:35 If I actually sat down and just worked instead of doing a little bit here and there between my other work...The outfit didn't take more than a day. And probably not the whole day. I did use a few pattern pieces (the mini skirt was one, the shirt was actually a sleeveless shirt I added sleeves to) and then I thought about how a bustled skirt looks and guessed at how to make it. I don't know if I did it the "right" way, but it worked. The hat probably took 45 minutes to an hour. I had to do some trial and error as I have never made a hat that large before.

Comment by Anne Field on January 17, 2012 at 23:37 Thanks so much! I had a blast making this doll and am already thinking up my second (and have a lot of the materials). Not only is it really interesting being Victorian (which I LOVE) but not bound by Victorian rules. And my husband is really into it so if I make a whole series of them he will probably like them all.
@ Anne
This is just...plain...simply STUPENDOUS I absolutely adore steampunk and one of my lady (Lizbeth) is patiently waiting for me to come closer to my sewing machine.

Comment by Anne Field on January 16, 2012 at 23:48 @Andy good for you! I feel irritated when I do everything by hand. Usually because it will still need some alterations for me to be happy with it and I don't like my hand sewn seems. Yours are beautiful though
