Superstar History

It all started in 1977 when Mattel introduced it's new Barbie face and body mold with the now iconic Superstar Barbie. The new face was angelic, with beautiful wide eyes, half opened mouth and dimples. The second this Barbie cam out the world was mesmerized and so the face mold that defined Barbie was born.

This is probably the most recognized Barbie face and millions of kids have grown up with it. It is still used today and hopefully many, many years more.

Just got a Superstar face Barbie from Mexico. Her neck is broken but I have all the pieces and I can repair her. I think she's Superstar Barbie made by Cipsa:

That's one of the items I really, really want to have. A friend of mine had it as a child and I've been dreaming about it for ages. Unfortunatelly I can only find it on ebay.com at some major sky-high prices. :((
